Julia Wolf Amazes a Sold Out Franklin Music Hall

By Sarah Swetz

On September 30, Julia Wolf brought her Deep End World Tour to Franklin Music Hall to bring some vibey alt-pop to Philly. Wolf is an independent alternative artist from New York City, who released her first EP in 2021. She’s no stranger to the stage having opened for mgk but this is her first time setting out on a headlining tour. The Deep End World tour has been very well received by fans having sold out several stops along the way, including Philadelphia.

Wolf brought along great support with Bee Blackwell. With her supporting band, she put on a great set of emo inspired tracks. She played her yet to be released song “The Knife” that will be released on October 2. Blackwell got the crowd energized as they danced along to her emotionally charged songs.

The energy exploded once Julia Wolf took the stage, every person in the audience was singing along to her songs. She played though a fast paced set filled with her many hits and several times during the set, she commented on how much she loved the energy in Philly and was so appreciative of the crowd for supporting her. Wolf is an independent artist and has paved her way in the scene with a growing audience. I expect after this tour she’ll keep on headlining for many years and grow larger and larger. She ended her set with her viral hit “In My Room” and the crowd was screaming along making the energy palpable.
